Stephen Walker

Stephen Walker is Professor of Accounting in the Edinburgh Business School. Stephen currently serves on the editorial boards of a number of journals including: Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal; Accounting Historians Journal; Accounting History; Accounting, Organizations and Society; Critical Perspectives on Accounting.  Stephen’s research interests include:

• The emergence and development of the accountancy profession in Britain
• The history of accounting in social institutions
• Accounting and gender in historical and contemporary contexts
