Reproductive Justice Now!
Location
Project Room (1.06), 50 George Square, Newington EH8 9LH United Kingdom
The last few years have witnessed urgent conversations on reproductive justice globally, following the setbacks to abortion rights in the US and its legalization or decriminalization in Latin American contexts. Yet questions of reproductive justice are not only about abortion: they are about bodily choice and autonomy, parenting support, healthcare, forced sterilization, period dignity, and moral and religious lifeworlds. GENDER.ED and IASH come together to mark International Women's Day with a roundtable and a reception. Our speakers present their activism and scholarship in transnational contexts followed by a Q and A with the audience. Attendees are invited to stay on for the reception and to meet the presenters.
