GENDER.ED's Annual Research Showcase

Every year, GENDER.ED spotlights cutting-edge academic and institutional research (including by PhD researchers), student campaigns and change projects at the University of Edinburgh in an Annual Showcase event. It will also be an opportunity to interact with the community of gender and sexualities researchers and change agents at the University of Edinburgh. The Showcase event will include a roundtable conversation and a reception.

Schedule:

15:00 – 15:15: Welcome and Director’s Report

15:15-15:25: Announcement of GENDER.ED-EUSA UG Feminist Trailblazers Awards

15:25 – 16:15: Roundtable on “Feminist, Women’s and Gender Studies at Edinburgh: Looking Back, Looking Forward” (Featuring Lynn Jamieson, Radhika Govinda, Sharon Cowan, Merlin Seller and Meryl Kenny as Chair).

16:15 – 17:30: Showcase and Networking Reception

This is a free event, which means we overbook to allow for no-shows and to avoid empty seats. While we generally do not have to turn people away, this does mean we cannot guarantee everyone a place. Admission is on a first come, first served basis.
